How we check

What a badge means here

Every badge on Nexobots stands for something a person or a measurement confirmed. This is what we look at, and where it stops.

Confirmed owner Everyone who lists

You prove a bot is yours by putting a one-time code in its description on Discord. For servers, you add our bot and Discord tells us who owns the server. For templates, Discord tells us who made it.

Verified by Nexobots Every listing

A person tries it before it goes live. A bot goes through a test server, a server gets joined, and templates, emojis and stickers get looked over. Bots that ask for Administrator need a good reason and a Moderator's approval.

Nexo Certified Bots that stay reliable

The gold badge. It's for established bots with a measured uptime and a clean record. We keep checking, and a bot that stops meeting the bar loses the badge.

How a review works

  1. List your bot or server, and prove it's yours.
  2. Fill in the listing and send it for review.
  3. A reviewer tests it against a public checklist.
  4. You get a message with the result. If something's missing, you hear exactly what, and you can fix it and resubmit.

What we look at

Does it do what the listing says?
Does it respond, and keep responding?
Does it ask for more permissions than it needs?
Does it follow Discord's terms?
Is the description honest, with no spam or copied text?

What a badge doesn't mean

A badge says what we found when we checked. It isn't a promise about the future, and it's never for sale. Always look at what a bot asks for before you add it, and report anything that looks wrong.
