Support mentor

Open

Help developers who are stuck, in tickets and in 1-on-1 sessions.

What we ask

  • You've built a Discord bot yourself and can read someone else's code
  • Patience with people who are just starting
  • You explain things without making anyone feel small

Good to know

  • You don't need every answer, as long as you can help someone find it
  • You publish your own 1-on-1 slots, so you stay in charge of your time

Reviewer

Open

Test new bots and servers by hand before they go live, and pass anything unusual on to the Moderators.

What we ask

  • You know your way around Discord bots and permissions
  • You're careful and fair, also when the answer is no
  • You can explain a decision in plain words

Good to know

  • We aim to finish reviews within 48 hours, so checking the queue regularly helps
  • You never review your own listing

Moderator

Open

Keep Nexobots fair, handle reports and the blacklist, and look after the review team.

What we ask

  • Experience moderating a Discord community
  • You stay calm when people are upset with you
  • You know how a good review works, or want to learn it first

Good to know

  • Reviewers come to you with what they can't decide themselves
  • What you do is recorded in the audit log, for everyone's protection

Administrator

Lead the moderator team, manage users and listings, and appoint the ranks below yours.

What we ask

  • Experience leading a team of moderators or staff
  • You can make a hard call and explain it afterwards
  • People can trust you with their account details

Good to know

  • You'll see personal details, so discretion isn't optional
  • What you do is recorded in the audit log, for everyone's protection
