Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 4 November 2026 · Operated by ModoraLabs, a private individual in the Netherlands, as a non-commercial hobby project

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

Nexobots (nexobots.app, including its API and Discord bot) is run by ModoraLabs, a private individual in the Netherlands, as a non-commercial hobby project ("we"). It isn't a company and it doesn't make money. These Terms apply when you use Nexobots. By logging in, you agree to them. When these Terms change, we'll ask you to accept the new version the next time you log in.

2. Closed beta

While Nexobots is in closed beta, only invited people can log in. Features can change or disappear, things can break, and we may have to reset data. We may end anyone's beta access at any time.

3. Who may use Nexobots

  • When the site is open, anyone may browse and search without an account.
  • To vote, review, report, list a bot or request support, you log in with a Discord account. You must meet the minimum age Discord sets for your country, and follow Discord's own terms.
  • You are responsible for what happens through your account and your API tokens.

4. Listing rules

You may only list a bot that you own or are authorised to manage. A listed bot must not:

  • be malicious or harm users or servers, including raiding or destroying servers;
  • collect tokens, passwords or IP addresses (token or IP grabbers);
  • be a clone of someone else's bot, or claim to be something it isn't;
  • have a dishonest or misleading description;
  • offer adult content without being flagged NSFW;
  • ask for the Administrator permission without a good reason, which it may be refused for anyway;
  • break Discord's terms or the law.

The same rules apply to the updates, status messages and profile details you post.

You keep the rights to your listing's content. You give us permission to display it on Nexobots and to use it to promote Nexobots and your bot.

The same rules apply to a server or template you list. You may only list a server you own or a template you made, and they must follow Discord's Community Guidelines. Only upload emojis and stickers you made or may share, and you stay responsible for them. If you add something to a team, its members can work on it and its admins can act as its owner, so only invite people you trust.

Vote rewards are promises from a bot's developer. Only list rewards your bot really gives. We don't hand them out, and we aren't responsible for them.

5. Review and removal

People review every bot before it goes live. We publish a target and a live estimate, but we can't guarantee a review time. We may approve or deny a bot, and we give a reason when we deny one. A denial can allow resubmission or not.

We may later suspend or remove a listing that breaks these Terms, and reopen an earlier decision. A bot that appears offline for 7 days gets a warning, and its listing is archived after 30 days. You can resubmit it once it's back.

6. Reporting content

If you think a bot or review breaks these Terms or the law, use the report button on its page, or contact [email protected]. Tell us what's wrong and where to find it. We look at reports with care and tell you what we decided if you've given us a way to reach you.

7. Blacklist and appeals

We can restrict accounts that break these Terms. A restriction can apply to:

  • Listing: you can't submit or edit bots;
  • Interaction: you can't vote, review or report;
  • Full: both of the above.

A restriction can be permanent or last until a set date, and we may also hide the bots you own. You can still browse and search, and we'll show you the reason. You can appeal by opening a support ticket.

8. Votes and review conduct

  • You may vote for a bot once every 12 hours. Monthly votes reset on the 1st of each month.
  • Don't manipulate votes. This includes using several accounts, bots, or paying or forcing people to vote.
  • Votes from accounts younger than 7 days don't count publicly. We flag suspicious votes for moderators. Moderators can take away a bot's ranking for the month if it's involved in repeated manipulation. You can appeal with a support ticket.
  • Reviews must be honest and about the bot. No harassment, spam or reviews of your own bot. We may hide reviews that break these rules.

9. API fair use

  • Stay within the published rate limits, and don't try to get around them.
  • Keep your API tokens and webhook secrets confidential.
  • Don't scrape Nexobots in bulk or use the API to harm users, or to build a copy of our service.
  • If you receive user data from us, including through vote webhooks, our Data Processing Agreement applies.

We may limit or revoke API access that's being abused.

10. Free to use

Nexobots is free and has no paid features. If that ever changes, we'll update these Terms first and show any price and conditions before you buy anything. Paid placement would always be labelled and would never change the vote ranking.

11. Support

Support is given by people in their spare time. We aim to meet our published response targets, but these are goals and not guarantees. Mentors give advice in good faith. You remain responsible for your own bot and its code. Never share your bot's token with anyone, including us.

12. Liability

Nexobots is a free hobby project, provided "as is". We don't guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors, and we aren't responsible for third-party bots listed here. Our review doesn't guarantee that a bot is safe. Add bots to your server at your own judgement. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect damage or loss of profit or data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for intent or deliberate recklessness, or your rights as a consumer.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using Nexobots at any time and delete your account from your dashboard. Our Privacy Policy explains what that removes. We may end access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, and we may stop running Nexobots. If we do, we'll try to tell you in advance.

14. Governing law

Dutch law applies to these Terms, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you're a consumer, you keep any mandatory protection given by the law of the country where you live.
